Wait.. I just listened to the whole lot in one go before coming here (sorry again, alllways late!) and just hit the "like" button for each song *facepalm* ok.. I can go back and comment publicly if you still want people to? please LMK. I'll type my initial thoughts here in the meantime if that's ok? Apologies in advance if this is a rambling essay.

Side point: did you have go make me fangirl? seriously I'm from the Midlands! (Only putting that info here, not public on youtube, just so you know, the story spoke to me as a fan from the start of your career, who is actually from the area you set your Musical, and I saw you in concert here. Thank you for choosing this place!!! )

Brilliant songs (Hindsight my fave, so beautiful, also love Hymn), and not one I didn't like (no boredom to tears, so hey your're just gonna have to keep all of the songs in your show :D ), you told the story so well through all the music, got the settings and the attitudes spot on, great choice of singers, the harmonies in the songs were beautiful, there honestly weren't any weak songs in my opinion- actually I really enjoyed the whole thing. There's a lot of your own story included, and it shines through, it makes it more relatable, believable, makes us listeners feel what you were feeling at the time, see the mistakes your main character made, but understand why, and to still be rooting for him, while at the same time understanding why the other characters react to him the way they do. I think that's important with any story (in songs or musicals or books or whatever)- the audience has to relate to the person, has to feel the emotions, for it to be really successful. Make your audience want to laugh, want to cry, go through everything with your characters. If you feel nothing, your audience feels nothing, that's when it doesn't work. Personally I also love love love a redemption arc in the story - with a happy upbeat ending - makes it more satisfying.

If I have to say one itty bit of criticism (not really criticism actually) it's that some of the lyrics will limit who would be able to go and see this. People wouldn't be able to take their young kids or grandkids with them to watch when the singers are belting out the F-bomb, you know? XD ...I'm not saying the words don't work where you put them, and of course keep it as it is if you want the show to stay adult, but if you want to get maximum audience then maybe think about a slightly more family friendly version? up to you. It works either way, and you need to be happy with it yourself, so don't go changing it if that would ruin it for you. Does that makes sense?

BTW your commentary and some of the pic choices in the videos were priceless :D also I thought it was awesome that your son was playing guitar ^_^

So... will you be releasing the soundtrack eventually as well? I want this on CD!!
